How to Use This Site
Navigating

This page describes how to navigate within the HI’s e-learning portal. Listed below are descriptions of the navigational buttons located on the left of your screen. Note that the buttons below are not activated. To register and experience a sample course, you must click on the buttons to the left. If this is your first time visiting the site we suggest, after reading this, you begin your online tour by clicking on the demo button.

This is where you will find a list of the www.pumplearning.org courses available within this site. You can also learn more about upcoming HI online courses. Simply click on a course title and you can view the course description; see what additional materials are included as part of the course; and confirm the dates for these online courses.
This screen is for participants who are already enrolled in a course (i.e., they have already registered and are authorized to take a course when it begins, and have received their usernames and passwords).
This is the screen where you, as a new online participant, input the required information to sign up for the course of your choice. You will be directed to scroll through a drop-down window to select the course and then fill in the required data fields. (Returning students can input their previously assigned username and password to register for a new course).
This page provides specific "how-to" information about www.pumplearning.org. Here you will find the 2003 Calendar of course offerings; as well as practical information including who should attend, when and how to register, and how to receive your certificate for your online participation.

Here you will find a self-guided online course demo that is designed to help you familiarize yourself with how this distance learning platform works and to answer some frequently asked questions. For those just starting out, this demo course also provides tips and basic principles.

Also included in the demo course is a preview of our first online course offering Centrifugal Pumps: Fundamentals, Design and Applications.
Plan to spend between 30 minutes to one full hour to fully sample the potential of this exciting online environment.
